Taming your property (and income) taxes

Plan to join us for a special meeting on March 19 in Silicon Valley for a timely luncheon program targeting the best property and income tax solutions available to you and your clients.

In today’s challenging real estate market property owners are looking for ways to improve their cash flow and bottom lines. Many owners have received partial (temporary) property tax reductions, but have not taken advantage of strategies to produce permanent savings available under the law. This program will review the basics of California property tax system (Props. 8, 13, and 58, etc.) and more advanced strategies for reducing your property taxes. People who will benefit most from this class are all those who purchased real estate during the “high value” era (2000 through 2007). Such owners generally have a “Base Year” value for Prop 13 purposes that is substantially overstated, even though temporary reductions may have been granted by the County Assessor.

This class will also discuss Federal and State Income Tax Laws and look at income tax issues associated with property ownership.
